In light of a recent comment several days back I wanted to push forward with the idea of encouraging the thought of a new pressing of 319 shirts. I guess my thought is that this lies a little bit on Bryan because I feel he has a sense of ownership in making 319 what it is today because of the first shirts (R.I.P. guns - or water guns for Koenen). In all honesty I’d be happy to contribute making some calls to whoever necessary but I know that Bryan, you already have connections at shirt shack. So maybe we just need to get our more artistic and creative people (i.e. Tim, James, Bryan, whoever) to get some designs in the works and start to move forward with this. I’ll put a personal contribution of $50 down for the startup cost. I know its not much but its all I can contribute at this time. Plus if 7 or 8 of us can contribute to that we could get a decent number of shirts printed to start selling.
Or perhaps this would be something for old time sake and we would print shirts for only a smaller number of people (like us on this blog, and a few friends) I tend to have more inclusive thoughts about the 319 crew, but if financially nobody was willing to contribute a little or a lot to start it up then perhaps we’d be willing to pay for our own individual shirts, hoodies, boxers, socks, neck ties, whatever. Lets get this train rolling… am I the only one who feels its long overdue?

Hey everyone! So as of yesterday my life is amazing because I am in a view camera class this semester (view cameras are the best film cameras and they shoot 4×5 film, which is huge and beautiful). Along with being in the class, we get our own View Camera to take home with us, 2 lenses, a tripod, 6 film backs and 1 poloroid film back. Which is worth $5,188. Hahahah. So I am a little scared about that but very excited.
View Cameras allow you to have a ridiculous amount of control over what you are shooting and are able to make the sharpest images possible (they also give you all the more room to mess everything up).
I know I have talked to Bryan about this but I want to take pictures of as many of you guys as possible with this camera so if at all possible sometime during this year, come visit.
I am posting an example of one of my 4×5 images I have shot since I got this last night. Here is the deal though: The picture is a DIGITAL picture on 1600 ISO of a 4×5 POLOROID. So basically I held my Poloroid that I took with the view camera in one hand and my Canon digital in another to take a picture of the poloroid. Haha.
So this picture is noooo where near a good example of the quality that they can take but I got too excited. Tomorrow I am hopefully going to develop the negative that accompanies this poloroid and then scan it in so I will have an actual good quality one to show you guys.
Hopefully this post makes sense and isn’t me ranting and saying a bunch of stuff that doesn’t make sense. This camera is one of the most exciting things for me to play with ever so I wanted to tell you guys about it.
Have a beautiful night everyone! I hope all your days were full of smiles and high fives.
-James.

This is a picture off of the balcony in our apartment. Obviously when I scan it, the tonal range and sharpness with be 100 times better.
