Good news, great news:
A girl I met a year ago loves me enough and asked me to love her for life. I do desire for those of you who haven’t to meet this woman some day. Cecka is what they call her - I might say babe, love, beloved. I said yes - put the round piece of wood she gave me to sybolize our love on my finger and we’ve continued conversations bigger than ourselves.
I’m in the best kind of love - honest, painful, joyful. The learning and humility she brings into my life grow my love for her daily. I’m so pumped right now - I’m fricken engaged! You are all part of this story; of our story of who I am and who we continue to become. Blessed to be a brother… to call 319 part of us. Can’t wait to share more. Love!

Brotherly Love; City of…

So some of you know that I have spent 4 of my past 5 summers working for a summer youth missions organization called YouthWorks. Since August I have been working for them full time in Minneapolis but in the summer I am required to be on staff in one of the 78 communities that YouthWorks hosts week long service trips in. This summer I’m in Philadelphia and learning more about freedom, sweat, learning disabilities, stoop sittin, racism, urban gardening and fire hydrants. In efforts to stay connected I wanted to send several pictures of where I’m staying in the northern neighborhood called Kensington and ask - what are you up to?

Will Smith Straight Edge!?!
April 14, 2008This is old news, but came across it again this morning. A film and television production company called Overbook Entertainment, formed by Will Smith, is working on a TV series for FX that will be a drama focused on a straight edge crew. Jada, Smith’s wife, came up with the idea. The show is untitled and will revolve around Courage Crew, a sxe crew from Ohio. Also, for those of you who didn’t know, Jada Smith does vocals for a metalcore band called Wicked Wisdom - http://www.wickedwisdom.net/
