my first 5k race – aids annihilation

Hi All,

I’ve been dabbling in running for the past few years. I would almost call myself a runner now and I’ve been training a bit lately for my first legit race on August 15th. This is an aids fundraiser in beautiful Cheeseman Park.

A few of my goals for the race:

Finish middle of the pack. I hear your first race can be an eye opener and I don’t plan to take the Denver 5k scene by storm with a win in my first race; but I’d like to see myself cross the line in the top 50% or better.
Have a good run. A little tougher to explain but any runners or physical folks out there know what I’m saying. I want to still feel strong when I’m done.
Raise $100.00. The aids 5k is primarily a fundraiser, this is where you come in if your are so inclined both financially and emotionally. Check out my website here to donate.

And duh I’ll keep you posted with how it goes come race time.

[getting settled] + [iphone photography]

As some of you may know, especially if you follow my twitter page, I enjoy creating and posting daily iPhone photos. I’m very fascinated by the simplicity of this “crappy” camera. It’s always in my pocket and keeps me creative when I least expect it.
