Does this look familiar?

Do you guys remember my goal of climbing the Diamond of Long’s Peak?  Well I blew that one, at least within the time frame that I had originally set out for myself. 

 How are you all doing with your life goals/ambitions list?  I think it’s important for us to help encourage one another and keep each other accountable with what we would like to get done in our lives.  Lately I’ve felt like I’m getting swept away in the standard ebb and flow of mediocrity.  That’s not to say that I’m not thrilled with my life, I mean I really really shouldn’t complain.  However I feel like I’m not living up to what I would like to get out of life.  Life is short and we need to make the most out of everyday.  Sorry for the mini rant. 

How are you all doing with keeping up with the flow of life?  Love you guys.

As you all know (most likely) The Onion writes joke news articles. My brother loves The Onion (his newest thing, replacing his MAD addiction). My family was up in the Twin Cities this past weekend and Alex grabbed an Onion newspaper.

I got to reading one of the articles. I’m not very political, but I got a good laugh out of it… because every joke as some truth.

The article is about PETA. Now, I love animals, and I am against animal cruity… but I hate PETA, truly hate PETA. I’m sorry if I affended any of you… it isn’t meant to be targeted at any individuals… just PETA. Hence, the reason I probably found some humor in this article because I don’t think it is all that far fetch from how PETA members think.

Like I said, I like and LOVE animals… even though I am allergic to most of them. However, I will ALWAYS choose humans over animals PERIOD.

One thing that really upset me with animal rights activist was the story (several years ago) about a mother and her daughter out west (I should do some reseach and use the actual story as support evidence, but I’m lazy). The mother was attacked by a female mountain lion. The ranger shot and killed the lion in an attempt to save the womens life. Both the human mother and female mountain lion died. Here comes the part that really upsets me, and over the years I can not remember the excact numbers… just that they were dramastic. The human daughter was orphaned due to the death of her mother. There was a fund raiser to raise money for the poor human orphan. Approximately $100,000 was raised!!! WOW, that is amazing, truly! There was also a fund raiser for the orphaned lion cubs…. funds raised almost reached $1,000,000. WTF… W-H-A-T-T-H-E-F-U-C-K!?

Something that has upset me recently….

The images are of low quality as I took them with my phone. Basically, one of the stores I was recently in had a coin fund raiser for a child who was dying from cancer. Next to this… a dollar box for renovations of the Humane Society. It is had to see, but there were actually 5s and 20s in that damn box. The money for the girl… $4.50, for the “new” room for the Human Society, a lot more.
