So some of you know that I have spent 4 of my past 5 summers working for a summer youth missions organization called YouthWorks. Since August I have been working for them full time in Minneapolis but in the summer I am required to be on staff in one of the 78 communities that YouthWorks hosts week long service trips in. This summer I’m in Philadelphia and learning more about freedom, sweat, learning disabilities, stoop sittin, racism, urban gardening and fire hydrants. In efforts to stay connected I wanted to send several pictures of where I’m staying in the northern neighborhood called Kensington and ask - what are you up to?

As Blake mentioned in one of his comments, we need a use for 319crew.com. As most of us on here are artist in one form or another, I had an idea I’d like to share:
What if I use 319crew for my photography. Instead of always sending people (and spelling out) to bryanamccarty, this could become my “studio” name. Then over the course of the next year or so everyone could develop a project/art to put up on the site. So eventually I’d like to turn this studio name into a crew of artist from across the US. Since we are all branching out this would be a way for us to bring out talents together. We could literally become know as “the 319 crew” - a group of artist who produce photography, films, poetry, programming (which is art, in my opinion), music, etc and use this site as our storefront.
Some of us dream of working together someday doing the things we love. Perhaps this name, this domain and this term could help launch our own “studio”. It’s a collaborative voice to showcase our love, our work and our roots from the 319.
What do you guys think? Could this work? Would anyone be introduced in taking part and helping me run the site? Are you guys interested in this sort of collaboration?
Fellas - I wanted to run a thought by all of you. You all know I own a handful of domains. One of those domains is 319crew.com - which I currently am not using. Would you all prefer to leave this blog at keepthisgoing.com or migrate it over to 319crew.com? The chose is yours. What are your thoughts?
Well…. 678 has come, and it has passed! What a great, special, powerful, amazing, 3-1-9 weekend! It was great seeing most of you and doing some MAJOR catch up! Bryan got back to the states today from his honeymoon. Iowa is fight flood waters. So much in only a week!
Pretty much I just miss all of you so I am posting about nothing!

I can’t wait to see everyone. In anticipation of the 678 festivities beginning in two days I ate two hot dogs this morning for breakfast. Get pumped everyone. You should probably do some push-ups, mosh, run, origami, whatever puts you in the mood because this weekend is going to be off of the heezy. I will hug you all this weekend.
